A robin perched on wooden spade handle

The sculpture sits securely in the garden by a strong stake which can be seen in the photo. Total height is just under a metre.

The quirky robin with a hand painted red breast perches on a small branch with 2 tactile metal leaves, hand cut and shaped at our forge. The robins wings have added texture and a strong tail.

We twist the mild steel around the wooden shaft giving a great, spiral effect and lightly burns the wood bringing out the fantastic grain creating a superb finish. The grain is never the same therefore every garden stake is slightly different.

This design is a favourite for our customers at the garden shows we attend and makes a wonderful gift for any gardener.

A light, satin varnish is added for protection.

The sculpture is easy to display with a 13cm/5″ stake to hold it firmly in the ground .
